The Masjid Jirana Meeqat taxi from your Makkah hotel costs 120 SAR in a Toyota Camry, there and back. At Ji’ranah, your driver waits beside the car while you enter Ihram and pray. Then the same car drives you to Masjid al-Haram to begin Umrah, or back to your hotel if you prefer.
Ji’ranah is roughly 25 to 30 km from Makkah, usually about 30 to 45 minutes by road. This page also compares the other Meeqat points pilgrims ask about: Masjid Ayesha in Tan’eem, the Taif-side Meeqat and Dhul Hulaifah near Madinah. Message +966 56 323 2855 on WhatsApp to book any of them.

Which Meeqat?
Your Meeqat usually depends on where you start the journey towards Makkah. This guide covers travel only. Please confirm the ruling for your situation with your scholar or group leader. Where each Meeqat point sits, from Dhul Hulaifah to Al-Juhfah, is set out in our place guides for Makkah and Madinah.
Pilgrims staying in Makkah can ride out to Ji’ranah for another Umrah. The return trip is 120 SAR in a Camry, and the driver waits during Ihram.
Masjid Ayesha in Tan’eem is the closest Meeqat point to the Haram. See the Masjid Ayesha Meeqat taxi page for that return trip.
Travellers returning from Taif can stop at the Taif-side Meeqat, at Qarn al-Manazil (As-Sail al-Kabir) or Wadi Muharram on the Al-Hada road. Ask for this stop when you book, and confirm the ruling with your scholar.
Pilgrims heading from Madinah to Makkah pass Dhul Hulaifah, also called Abyar Ali. A stop there is possible on the Madinah to Makkah ride.
If you land at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) for Umrah, ask your scholar before you fly where to enter Ihram. Your transfer then goes straight to Makkah.
Send your hotel and travel plan on WhatsApp. The team explains which Meeqat rides fit your route, and your scholar confirms the ruling.

The Ji’ranah Meeqat Trip
The Ji’ranah trip is a return ride that starts at your Makkah hotel door. The fixed fare is 120 SAR for a Toyota Camry carrying up to 4 passengers. That one price covers the drive out, the wait at the mosque and the drive back.
Many pilgrims arrive at Masjid Jirana already wearing Ihram clothing and make the intention there. Others prefer to change once they reach the mosque. Take the time you need for any prayer your scholar advises and for your intention. Your driver stays with the car and does not rush you.
After Ihram, you choose where the ride ends. Many pilgrims ride straight to Masjid al-Haram to perform Tawaf and Sa’i. Some prefer to stop at the hotel first, for example so elderly parents can rest. Tell the team your choice when you book, or tell the driver on the way.
Near Masjid al-Haram, some roads close to private cars at busy times. In that case the Ji’ranah driver drops you at the nearest point cars can reach. The team confirms that drop-off point with you on WhatsApp before the day.
Larger families and Umrah groups can book a bigger vehicle for the same Ji’ranah return trip, up to a 17-seat Toyota Coaster. Each vehicle’s fixed return fare is shown on its card below, for the whole vehicle, not per person.

Ji’ranah: Place and History
Masjid Jirana stands at Ji’ranah, a small valley north-east of Makkah. By road, Ji’ranah is roughly 25 to 30 km from central Makkah. The drive usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes each way, depending on traffic and your hotel district.
Ji’ranah is remembered in Islamic history as the place where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) entered Ihram after the Battle of Hunayn. For many pilgrims, entering Ihram at Masjid Jirana is a way to feel close to that moment in the seerah. Masjid Jirana is often quieter than the Meeqat points nearer the city.
Masjid Jirana sits further out than Masjid Ayesha in Tan’eem. That longer distance is why the Ji’ranah fare is a little higher. Some pilgrims pick Ji’ranah for its history, and others choose Tan’eem because it is closer.
Which Meeqat is right for your second Umrah is a question of fiqh, not of transport. Scholars explain the rulings on Tan’eem and Ji’ranah in different ways. Please ask your own scholar or group leader, then book the ride that matches their advice.
Plan the Ji’ranah trip around prayer times and your energy. A pickup soon after a prayer gives you time at the mosque and time for Tawaf before the next one. Online Umrah Taxi takes bookings 24/7, including late-night and pre-dawn departures.
Why Book Your Meeqat Ride
A booked Meeqat ride means the car that took you out is the car that brings you back. You settle the fare, the vehicle and the end point before you leave your hotel.
The Ji’ranah fare covers both legs. You do not need to look for a second car outside Masjid Jirana in Ihram.
Take the time you need for Ihram and prayer. Your driver waits, with no fixed time limit at the mosque.
After Ihram, the driver heads to the nearest permitted drop-off point for Masjid al-Haram, so you can begin Umrah.
The Saudi Transport Authority licenses Online Umrah Taxi to transport pilgrims on routes such as the Meeqat trips.
Vehicles run from a 4-seat Toyota Camry to a 17-seat Toyota Coaster, so a family or group can travel to the Meeqat together.
Meeqat drivers speak English and Arabic. They know the roads to Ji’ranah, Tan’eem and the Taif and Madinah routes.

Vehicles for the Meeqat
The prices on each card are the Masjid Jirana return fare for that vehicle. A Toyota Camry seats 4 pilgrims with 3 bags. Seven pilgrims fit in a Hyundai Staria, a GMC Yukon XL or a Chevrolet Suburban. A Toyota Hiace takes 11 people, and a Toyota Coaster takes 17. Details of each model are in our umrah taxi fleet.
Each price is the fixed Makkah hotel to Masjid Jirana return fare for the whole vehicle.

Other Meeqat Points
Masjid Ayesha in Tan’eem is the nearest Meeqat point to Masjid al-Haram, roughly 7 to 8 km away. Its return trip from a Makkah hotel starts at 100 SAR in a Toyota Camry. Full details, including what to expect at the mosque, are on the Masjid Ayesha Meeqat taxi page.
On the Taif side, pilgrims pass one of two Meeqat sites: Qarn al-Manazil at As-Sail al-Kabir, or Wadi Muharram on the Al-Hada road. After a day in Taif, you can ask the driver to stop at the Taif-side Meeqat before another Umrah, and your scholar confirms the ruling. The Taif Ziyarat taxi page explains that round trip.
Staying in Taif, or flying into Taif International Airport (TIF)? A one-way ride from Taif to Makkah can include a Qarn al-Manazil stop, with the fare quoted on WhatsApp. The Makkah to Taif taxi page covers that ride in both directions.
Dhul Hulaifah, known locally as Abyar Ali or Masjid Miqat, lies near Madinah. Pilgrims riding from Madinah to Makkah can stop there to enter Ihram, from 490 SAR hotel to hotel. For a pickup at Madinah airport, see the Madinah Airport to Makkah taxi.
A Meeqat is a place for Ihram, while Ziyarat is a visit to historic sites. Ziyarat is not a rite of Umrah. If you would like to see Jabal al-Nour and Arafat on another day, book the Makkah Ziyarat taxi.
Holy Places on the Meeqat Journey
A Meeqat ride from Makkah usually ends where Umrah begins, at Masjid al-Haram. The Madinah mosques matter too, because pilgrims coming from Madinah pass Dhul Hulaifah on the way.

Masjid al-Haram is where your Ji’ranah ride ends if you go straight to Tawaf. The driver uses the nearest drop-off point open to cars.

Pilgrims leaving Masjid an-Nabawi for Makkah pass Dhul Hulaifah soon after setting off. Ask for the Meeqat stop when you book.

Masjid Quba is in Madinah. Many pilgrims visit it before they ride south to Makkah and the Meeqat at Dhul Hulaifah.

Masjid al-Qiblatain is another Madinah visit to fit in before the journey to Makkah and your Ihram.

Mount Uhud rises north of Madinah. Pilgrims often see it during their Madinah days, before the Meeqat and the road to Makkah.

Masjid Ayesha in Tan’eem is the Meeqat closest to the Haram. Its return trip from your Makkah hotel starts at 100 SAR.
Pilgrim Reviews
We show reviews that mention the Meeqat, Ihram or Umrah first, because they are closest to this trip. Each one comes from a real passenger.
Our driver met us right at Jeddah Airport and helped with luggage. The car was spotless and the fare exactly as promised. I’ll definitely use them again next Umrah.
Send your Makkah hotel and pickup time on WhatsApp. Online Umrah Taxi confirms the 120 SAR Camry return fare, and your driver waits while you enter Ihram.

Ji’ranah Trip
A Masjid Jirana Meeqat taxi from your Makkah hotel costs 120 SAR in a Toyota Camry, and that is a return trip. A Hyundai Staria costs 170 SAR, a GMC Yukon XL 200 SAR and a Toyota Coaster 240 SAR. Each fare covers the whole vehicle.
Yes, the Ji’ranah fare includes the wait. Your driver stays at the mosque while you enter Ihram and pray. Then the driver takes you to Masjid al-Haram or back to your hotel.
Ji’ranah is roughly 25 to 30 km from Makkah. The drive usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes each way. Traffic near the Haram and the time of day can change that.
Plan for roughly 30 to 45 minutes each way, plus your own time at Masjid Jirana. Traffic near the Haram, especially after prayers, can add time. Tell the team which prayer you hope to catch at the Haram, and they suggest a pickup time.
Ji’ranah is known as the place where the Prophet (peace be upon him) entered Ihram after the Battle of Hunayn. Many pilgrims value that link to the seerah. Others choose it for its calmer setting away from the city.
Please ask your scholar, because this is a religious question. Online Umrah Taxi runs return trips to both Meeqat points. Tan’eem is closer and the fare is lower, while Ji’ranah is further out and linked to Hunayn.
Yes, many pilgrims ask to go straight to Masjid al-Haram after Ihram. The driver stops at the nearest point cars can reach. The team confirms that drop-off point on WhatsApp before the trip.
Yes, Online Umrah Taxi takes Meeqat bookings 24/7 by WhatsApp and phone. Some pilgrims prefer a night trip when the roads are quieter. Book ahead in Ramadan, when the streets of Makkah are at their busiest.
Ask on WhatsApp, because there is no published fare for a combined Meeqat and Ziyarat trip. Many pilgrims book the Makkah Ziyarat taxi on a different day, so they are not in Ihram during the tour. The team can suggest a plan.
Choosing a Meeqat
A Meeqat (also written Miqat) is a boundary point where pilgrims enter Ihram before Umrah or Hajj. Pilgrims coming from Madinah pass Dhul Hulaifah, and pilgrims coming from Taif pass the Taif-side Meeqat at Qarn al-Manazil or Wadi Muharram. People already in Makkah commonly use Masjid Ayesha in Tan’eem or Masjid Jirana. Your scholar can tell you which Meeqat applies to your journey.
Please ask your scholar or group leader, because this is a ruling rather than a travel choice. Pilgrims staying in Makkah commonly use Masjid Ayesha in Tan’eem or Masjid Jirana. Online Umrah Taxi runs a return trip to each of them.
Ask your scholar, because the answer depends on your situation and the Umrah you intend. Many pilgrims wear their Ihram clothing from the hotel and make the intention at the Meeqat. Your driver can take you to Tan’eem or Ji’ranah either way.
Pilgrims coming from Taif pass the Taif-side Meeqat, at Qarn al-Manazil (As-Sail al-Kabir) or Wadi Muharram on the Al-Hada road. Online Umrah Taxi can add a stop there on a Taif round trip or a Taif to Makkah ride. Please confirm the ruling with your scholar.
Yes, a Dhul Hulaifah stop is possible on a Madinah to Makkah ride. The hotel to hotel fare starts at 490 SAR in a Toyota Camry. Mention the Meeqat stop when you book so the driver plans for it.
Online Umrah Taxi publishes no stand-alone fare for Qarn al-Manazil, so ask for a quote on WhatsApp. Pilgrims usually pass it on a Taif day trip, from 440 SAR round trip, or on a one-way ride from Taif down to Makkah. The Taif Ziyarat taxi page explains the day trip.
No, each Meeqat fare from Online Umrah Taxi is per vehicle. Four pilgrims sharing a Toyota Camry to Ji’ranah pay 120 SAR between them. There is no meter and nothing added at the end.
You can hand the driver cash after the Meeqat trip, or pay through a secure online link. Most Meeqat rides need no pre-payment. To change or cancel, message the team on WhatsApp before pickup.
