Wadi-e-Jinn is famous for a “magnetic hill” where cars seem to roll uphill. It is an optical illusion, and your driver shows it only where the road is safe. Message +966 56 323 2855 on WhatsApp, 24/7, to book your valley tour.

What Is Wadi-e-Jinn?
Wadi-e-Jinn is the popular name for Wadi al-Baida, a valley roughly 30 to 40 km north-west of Madinah. Pilgrims from Pakistan and India usually call it Wadi-e-Jinn. Arabic speakers often say Wadi al-Jinn or Wadi al-Baida.
Wadi al-Baida is a quiet desert valley ringed by dark, rocky hills. The road through the valley is long and open. Visitors come for the scenery and for one stretch of road where cars appear to move uphill on their own.
Wadi-e-Jinn is a sightseeing trip, not a rite of Umrah and not a holy site. Visiting it is a personal choice. If you have religious questions about the valley or its stories, please ask your scholar or group leader.
Online Umrah Taxi sells the Wadi-e-Jinn visit as part of a private Madinah Ziyarat from your hotel. The fixed fare is 300 SAR in a Toyota Camry. The same trip also covers holy sites inside Madinah, such as Masjid Quba and Mount Uhud.

Each Wadi-e-Jinn fare is for the whole vehicle, not per person. It covers pickup at your Madinah hotel, the visit to Wadi al-Baida with the Madinah Ziyarat stops, and the drive back. The driver waits at each stop, and you pay in cash or by a secure online payment link. Our Madinah and intercity fares are in one list.
Your 300 SAR Visit
The Madinah Ziyarat with Wadi-e-Jinn costs 300 SAR in a Toyota Camry and starts at your Madinah hotel. The fare covers the whole car, not each person. Here is what the 300 SAR tour gives you.
Your driver meets you at your hotel near Masjid an-Nabawi at the agreed time. You choose a morning or afternoon start. The tour ends back at your hotel.
Wadi al-Baida is roughly 30 to 40 km north-west of Madinah. Your driver knows the way, and the car is air-conditioned. Bottled water is on board.
At the valley, your driver looks for a quiet, safe stretch of road. If conditions allow, the driver shows you the uphill illusion. The effect is not promised, because safety comes first.
The same tour covers Madinah Ziyarat sites. Typical stops are Masjid Quba, Masjid al-Qiblatain, Mount Uhud and the Uhud martyrs’ cemetery. The driver waits at each stop while you visit and pray, and you agree the list on WhatsApp.
Wadi al-Baida is a good place for photos of the hills and the open road. Your driver can pause for pictures where it is safe to stop. Prayer stops are available on request.
A family of 4 in a Toyota Camry pays 300 SAR in total. There is no meter and no bargaining at the valley. Most rides need no pre-payment.

The Magnetic Hill, Explained
Cars at Wadi al-Jinn look as if they roll uphill, but the road actually slopes gently downhill. This is a well-known optical illusion, often called a gravity hill or magnetic hill. Similar hills exist in many countries around the world.
The illusion comes from the shape of the land. The hills around the valley hide the true horizon, so your eyes lose their usual level reference. A slight downward slope then looks like a climb, and a car in neutral simply rolls down it.
Many visitors also say the steering feels light or the car speeds up on its own. That feeling follows from the same slope. There is no magnet in the ground, and the car is not pulled by anything unusual.
People tell many stories about the valley, and the name Wadi-e-Jinn comes from those stories. Online Umrah Taxi treats these beliefs with respect and does not argue with anyone’s faith. Your driver simply shows you what the road does, and you can make up your own mind.

Our Safety Rule
Your driver shows the Wadi-e-Jinn effect only where it is safe, and it is not promised on any trip. The demonstration needs a quiet stretch of road with clear views in both directions. If other cars are close, the driver skips it or waits.
When conditions allow, the driver lets the car roll gently along what looks like an uphill road, and stays in control of the car throughout.
Passengers stay seated with seat belts on while the car rolls. Please do not stand in the road to film it. Your driver can suggest a safe spot at the roadside for photos instead.
Road works, traffic, police instructions or strong wind can make the demonstration unsafe on the day. In that case, the driver explains the illusion and you still see the valley. The fare stays the same, because you are paying for the tour, not for the effect.
Plan Your Visit
The best time to visit Wadi-e-Jinn is early morning or late afternoon, when the desert heat is lower. Madinah can be very hot around midday, especially in summer. Plan around the heat, and the day is far more comfortable.
An early start after Fajr is often the coolest time to stand outside at Wadi al-Baida. Late afternoon also works well. Midday in summer can be uncomfortable for children and elderly pilgrims.
The cooler months, roughly November to February, are more pleasant for time outside the car. Summer visits are still possible. Plan them for the early morning.
The standard Madinah Ziyarat usually takes around 3 hours. The version with Wadi-e-Jinn usually takes longer because of the drive out of the city. Keep a morning or half a day free, and confirm the timing when you book.
Bring a hat or cap, sunglasses and sunscreen. The valley has little shade. A light scarf helps with the sun and the wind.
Wear comfortable, closed shoes for rocky ground. Bottled water is in the car, but a refillable bottle helps. Pack snacks if you travel with children.
Charge your phone before you leave, because many visitors film the rolling car. Free Wi-Fi in the vehicle helps you share videos with family at home. Film from inside the car or a safe roadside spot.

Families & Children
Wadi-e-Jinn is a family-friendly trip, and children usually love watching the car roll. The Hyundai Staria seats 7 with space for 8 bags. The Toyota Hiace seats 11 for larger family groups.
Children stay buckled in while the driver shows the effect. Please keep little ones close at the roadside, because traffic can pass at speed. For a child seat, ask on WhatsApp when you book and share the child’s age.
Elderly parents can enjoy the whole visit without leaving the car. The rolling effect is easy to see through the windscreen. Your driver usually parks as close as it is safe to, so walking stays short.
Some children may find the stories about jinn frightening. You can explain the valley as a trick of the eyes before you arrive. The driver keeps the explanation light and friendly.
You can reach Wadi-e-Jinn in several ways. A self-drive rental car gives you full freedom, and street taxis are often available near Masjid an-Nabawi. A private Online Umrah Taxi tour suits pilgrims who want a fixed price, a driver who knows the valley, and Ziyarat stops in one trip.
